What it covers

The controlling US installation standard for stationary energy storage. It governs where a system may be placed, how much energy may be sited in one location, the separation required between units and from exposures, and what fire detection, suppression, ventilation and explosion control the installation must carry. Requirements vary by technology and by whether the installation is indoors, outdoors, or near occupied space.
