learnBESS ("we", "us") operates learnbess.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. What we collect

Email address

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. This is stored by Resend (our email service provider) and used solely to notify you when new modules are published. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Payment information

If you purchase access to learnBESS, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data directly. We receive your purchase status and Stripe customer ID to manage your access.

Cookies

We use a session cookie (learnbess_session) to keep you logged in to paid content. This cookie is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and contains your email address and a session identifier. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs web analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Ahrefs collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, referrer, country). No personal data is shared with Ahrefs, and no advertising cookies are set.

2. Why we collect it

• Newsletter: To send you updates when new modules are published.
• Payments: To process your purchase and grant access to paid content.
• Access cookie: To keep you logged in to paid modules during your session.
• Analytics: To understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us.

3. Third-party services

We share data only with the services listed above:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — email (newsletter and login links)
• Upstash — account session storage
• Ahrefs — web analytics
• Google Search Console — search performance and indexing
• Vercel — website hosting

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.

4. Data retention

• Email: Stored until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Payment data: Retained by Stripe per their data retention policy.
• Access cookie: Persists for 1 year (renewable on login).

5. Your rights (GDPR)
