String PCS topology
Also known as: String inverter, Distributed PCS
A power conversion system topology where each DC string is coupled with either one or several smaller power conversion systems.
In energy storage
String PCS topology enables each DC string to be operated individually. A fault on either the PCS or its DC string does not affect operation of the remaining plant, giving more flexibility in fault handling.
